The war for the Lunar crown has been won and the antidote has been distributed, but with rogue packs of wolf-hybrid soldiers still roaming unchecked, a tenuous peace threatens the alliance between Earth and Luna. Iko has taken it upon herself to hunt down the soldiers’ leader. Soon, she finds herself working with a handsome — yet quite aggravating — royal guard, who leads her to question her definition of love, loyalty, and her own humanity.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first picked up Wires and Nerve, as this was my first experience with a graphic novel. The art is simple and some scenes seem to be there purely for fans than to move the plot, but I found myself enjoying it all the same. The characters also look nothing like I imagined, but if you can overlook such trivialities, it’s the perfect afternoon read for fans who are looking for more adventures with the Rampion crew from the Lunar Chronicles.

Rated: Mild, for around two uses of mild language. Some blood is portrayed, but with the comic painted in monochromatic blue instead of color, it’s barely noticeable.
