The Virals are no longer the only pack in town. Tory Brennan and the rest of the Morris Island gang have started tracking a pack of rogue Virals who call themselves the Trinity — and this new strain of supervirus appears to be more powerful than their own.

These red-eyed Virals have openly challenged Tory’s pack for dominance of Charleston, and it seems they’ll stop at nothing to bring them down — even if that means betraying the secrets of Tory and the gang to a shadowy agency intent on learning the secret to their Viral powers.

The superhero overarching plot of the Virals series comes full circle (the last book was Exposure) with a grand finale full of edge-of-your-seat adventure. With Tory and the boys facing rivals that threaten to be stronger than them, the story feels more personal and more intense now than their survival is on the line, and it was easy to get immersed within the pages.

I was also gratified to see some growth in Tory as a character, and while it wasn’t as much as I had hoped for, it’s clear to see that Tory is still a teen with room for more future growth.

Overall, this series is certainly entertaining and action-packed with an ending that will leave some readers content and others craving more.
