Nightshade is a fabulous addition to the young adult supernatural genre. The writing is intelligent and the imagery vivid. The plot feels fresh and new, not just another recycled story of werewolves and witches. The characters are instantly likable, especially Calla and Shay. The love triangle between Calla and her two men will have anyone’s heart aching. And the cliffhanger ending will have readers begging for more. Wolfsbane is the second novel in the series.
