I read about a quarter of The Last Room on the Left and found it fairly interesting but then searched and found that there were a lot of instances of strong profanity later on in the book.

Profanity includes 54 uses of strong language, around 50 instances of moderate profanity, about 55 uses of mild language, and 50 instances of the name of Deity in vain. Sexual content includes some kissing, at least one brief scene, references to sex and affairs. Scenes with glimpses of/brief interactions with a dead body.
