Fearless is the last installment of the Powerless fantasy romance (or romantasy) trilogy. Kai and Paedyn have finally expressed their love for one another and are ready to face the consequences as they return to Ilya. Instead of a death sentence, Paedyn receives a marriage proposal from the newly crowned king. After killing the king, marriage to his son, Kitt, was the last thing she—or the kingdom—expected. Paedyn would possess the ability to help the kingdom of Ilya, to thrive in a kingdom where Ordinaries and Elites live alongside each other without fear.
With the decision looming, Paedyn fights with her head, her heart, and the new trials ahead. Kai fights to call her his own. Can vows unite a kingdom, or will betrayal break them? She faces a choice between sacrifice and self, which has become difficult and deadly.
Lauren Roberts really came through with this last book in the Powerless trilogy! You will be questioning everything up to the very end. I thoroughly enjoyed each book of this series and love a good romance that has intimacy without the detailed sex scenes. I am thankful that this author delivered romantasy books without smut.
Rated: Moderate. There are about 15 to 20 uses of mild language and one abbreviated use of strong profanity (that’s not spelled out). Passionate kissing, with one “closed door” scene, no description. Several action scenes, some mention of blood/men bleeding, but not too gory.
