On the Edge of Twilight, Gregory Miller’s third short story collection, is a wonderful blend of scares and emotions. Diving deep into the lives of those living and those dead, the book explores such themes as the hurts of the past, the unknown of the future and the strange things that happen in between.
While spooky and sometimes terrifying, this book also achieves a surprising and often touching depth. There are so many bright, human moments, filled with rich emotions and beautiful writing, that I hated to put this book down.
Miller has a gift, not only with words, but with imagination and story. Original, refreshing and unforgettable. I highly recommend this book!
Rated: Moderate, for a few uses of foul language, including one f-word, mild violence and spookiness.
