Gemma Peters is shocked one morning when she bumps into a stranger at a coffee shop and he tells her that they know each other. Well, he knows her, and he has been getting to know her for the equivalent of months. He’s been stuck in a time loop, living the same day over and over again. Naturally, Gemma is suspicious. But he is cute, and he otherwise seems normal. And little things do seem to give her a sense of déjà vu. Plus, it just feels like she can almost remember kissing him. How is that possible when she really doesn’t have a solid memory of kissing this man?

So Gemma goes along with Jack on his claims and does some investigating with him. The big question is this: what’s going to knock the two of them (well, him?) out of this time loop and get things back to normal?

Jack suspects the answer is this: he has to get Gemma to fall in love with him in this one day. And that will take a miracle. Because Gemma has been burned badly in love, and she knows her heart won’t go for this kind of thing.

But maybe on this one crazy day, it can.

The Deja Glitch doesn’t have an original premise, but it’s so cute and the characters so likable that that is perfectly OK. It’s sweet and fun and a nice light read, perfect for an end-of-summer pick-me-up.

Rated: High. Profanity includes 8 uses of strong language, about a dozen instances of moderate profanity, about 25 uses of mild language, and 20 instances of the name of Deity in vain. Sexual content includes kissing and references to sex but no scenes.
