One of my goals here at Rated Reads is provide content information on as many books as possible, and since my time and resources are limited, I try to focus on some of the most popular recent books, including celebrity picks. Since I don’t personally a) want to or b) have time to read them all, I started doing Rapid Ratings so I could at least get as much content info out to y’all as possible.
And honestly, most celebrity book club selections just don’t interest me (they aren’t even close to being some of the best books available, for one thing; publishers are pushing their brand-new books to these celebrities and they’re just grabbing one that looks … I don’t know … promising?). And what’s not at all a surprise, which keeps being confirmed by all of my ratings, is the large majority of the books are rated high. I’m just not interested.
OK, that being said, just a little reminder of why I round up these lists. I am here to provide information. I hope you find it valuable.
This list is the selections from the “Good Morning America” club from 2024. They are shared in descending order from December 2024 down to January. One, Jennifer Lynn Barnes’ The Grandest Game, is a pick for young adult readers. You can click on each title to go to our review; content rating is included here but you can get full details on content on the review post.
