Rated Reads provides book reviews of fiction, nonfiction, and young adult books, along with ratings for content.

For our purposes, the broad category we call “young adult” encompasses middle-grade books as well as books for older teens. It doesn’t, however, include children’s books, such as picture books or books that don’t have chapters. Those, with very few exceptions, can be considered “clean” or void of any offensive content. So we will leave those to other great websites out there.

Fiction is just that. It could be science fiction, historical fiction, chick lit, fantasy, award-winning “serious” literature, popular fiction … the list goes on almost ad infinitum.

Nonfiction is just as broad a category as fiction: it could be history, science, humor, memoir … and so on. You name it, we can cover it.
